Had a weird experience going in for a consultation for laser tattoo removal. I showed up a minute late for my appointment, but when I walked in, nobody was in the building at all and some of the lights were off. I wandered around for a minute and yelled up the stairs "is anybody here?" Nothing. Finally I called the main line (which, maybe goes to a different building? I was at their Friendly Ave. location, which doesn't match the main listing). Someone answered and told me the lady would be back in a minute. So right from the jump I'm sketched out. The lady comes back in and is nice enough, but... she didn't really introduce herself or talk me through the consultation process. She was dressed in pretty casual clothes too so honestly at first I thought she was another customer. She doesn't explain to me that she's about to facetime the doctor for the consultation, and all of a sudden she's got the phone pulled up with facetime open and this man is talking to me. He doesn't introduce himself, doesn't have his camera on, doesn't say hello or anything. He starts asking questions about the tattoo, which the lady helping is mostly answering, and at 2 points she leaves the room with the phone still talking to him and doesn't say where she's going. The vibes felt sketchy. I ended up not doing the treatment because the price was too high for me personally (which is not part of why I'm giving 2 stars). I just feel like the whole consultation was awkward and not well explained. Maybe it was just an off day for them, idk, but having the building fully empty and not even explaining what's going on is just strange to me. And if the doctor needs to facetime instead of being there in person, that's fine, but maybe turn on your camera and say hello first? It could have been some random dude for all I know.
